No matter which way the sphere is slice the answer is always a circle.  If you cut a sphere in half and looked at one half, it would have a circular inside, CIRCULAR = CIRCLE.  Have a great day.

Answer:

Circle

Step-by-step explanation:

Any given cross section,( whether it is diagonal or horizontal or vertical) slices a sphere in two parts and two circles (2D figure) on top of each.

1) Due to the right angle of a cross section (90º)

2) A sphere is perfectly round

What percent of 92 is 23
alexira [117]
We can let the percentage be p%
list an equation out from the given information.
92 x p% = 23
Flip 92 into the other side, turning it into ÷92
P% = 23 / 92
= 0.25
0.25 can be transformed into percentage, by moving the decimal place 2 places to right. Therfore, 0.25 is equal to 25.0%, which is 25%
Therfore, 25% of 92 is 23

A soccer ball manufacturer wants to estimate the mean circumference of soccer balls within 0.1 inch.
Aleonysh [2.5K]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that a soccer ball manufacturer wants to estimate the mean circumference of soccer balls within 0.1 inch.

a) sigma = 0.25

Since population std dev is known we can use Z critical value i.e. 2.58

2.58(\sigma/\sqrt{n} )25.8*\sigma\\i.e. n>665.64 \sigma^2

Hence when sigma =0.25

we get n should be atleast = 41.6025 or 42

b) when sigma = 0.3 we get

n >59.390=60

c) Big std deviation requires larger sample size.
