Lega masks (also known as Warega) originate from the Bwami tribe in the Congo. These are well-sculpted examples of Lega wooden face mask. In general face is enhanced by exceptionally carved eyebrows. The long, thin nose as well as the open eyes and mouth are sculpted in the Lega style.
