This would be exponential, so let's make an equation first.
95×1.15^x=y
95 is the start, so in 2015 it had 95 people. 1.15 is telling you you are growing by 15%. X is the years.
There are 8 years between 2015 and 2023, so let's put 8 for x.
95×1.15^8≈ 290.607
There will be about 291 people in 2023, since there can not be .607 of a person and wouldn't fit this problem.

A father is 43 years old and his 2 children is 8 and 6 years old. how many years will the sum of the ages of the two children be
antoniya [11.8K]

Answer:

5 years

Step-by-step explanation:

43 + x = 2(8 + x + 6 + x)

43 + x = 2(14 + 2x)

43 + x = 28 + 4x

3x = 15

x = 5

Note: your English is not correct, therefore the question is invalid.

I believe the question should be something like this:

A father is 43 years old and his 2 children are 8 and 6 years old. How many years will pass until the sum of the ages of the two children will be exactly a half of their father's age?

Answer: In 5 years, since 13 + 11 = 24 ----> half of 48

Answer Part A and Part B for the triangle shown
Tom [10]

Answer:

for Part A

Answer is C.

Step-by-step explanation:

\tan(a)  =  \frac{opposite}{adjacent }  \\

Here the angle, a is 60°, Opposite is 20 and adjacent is x.

Therefore we have,

\tan(60 )  =  \frac{20}{x}

Making x the subject gives us

x =  \frac{20}{ \tan(60) }

Part B

Value of x to the nearest tenth

x = 11.547 \\ to \: the \: nearest \: tenth \\ x = 12
