"Cease to be", is referring to the loss of consciousness and being that would come with death, whereas "die" is only body deep. So "cease to be" means the same as "die", but covers the mental and subconscious levels of being, as well as the physical.

It could also be seen as a shortening of the phrase "cease to be alive", if you wanted it to

Kitty [74]

The value of the smallest events in our lives build up the content of our own lives, our decisions thus the result of our actions. Health, love, relationships, food and feelings sometimes are given for granted, it is only when one lives or goes through a problem that we are able to reflect on their importance.

Act I: Daily life, which describes the history of the town (Grover's Corners, new Hampshire, 1901), and tells about the lives of common people, could contain the following verses: Blest be the tie that binds Our hearts in Christian love; The fellowship of kindred minds Is like to that above. Before our Father's throne We pour our ardent prayers; Our fears, our hopes, our aims are one Our comforts and our cares.

Act II: Love and marriage (three years later) is mainly about a couple who is about to get married, they love each other but are not sure about wedding, in the end they follow their families's wishes and get married. Possible verses: We share each other's woes, Our mutual burdens bear; And often for each other flows The sympathizing tear. When we must sunder part, It gives us inward pain; But we shall still be joined in heart, And hope to meet again. This glorious hope revives Our courage by the way; While each in expectation lives, And hopes to see the day.

Act III:Death and Eternity, after nine years, the life in the town have changed dramatically, it even takes place in the graveyard, some citizens passed away by accidents, illness, even suicide. The girl who got married on the second act, Emily, died as well. She is able to witness how people (living ones) do not realize the importance of the value of life. Verses: But we shall still be joined in heart, And hope to meet again. This glorious hope revives Our courage by the way; While each in expectation lives, And hopes to see the day. From sorrow, toil, and pain, And sin, we shall be free; And perfect love and friendship reign Through all eternity.

This may be the most well-known fallacy of presumption:
Julli [10]

The most well-known fallacy of presumption is “begging the question”.

Begging the question is the fallacy of using the conclusion of the argument as one of the grounds offered in the succeeding support. While this happens in an implicit or explicit fashion, an explicit version would appear like this:

· All chicken are birds.

· All birds have feathers.

· Since animal with feathers bear eggs, chicken bear eggs.

· But all animals with feathers that bear eggs are birds.

· Therefore, all chicken are birds.

Unlike other fallacies, begging the question involves an argument or set of arguments that is properly valid: if its grounds (including the first) are true, then the conclusion must be true.

5. Read the aphorism. A slip of the foot you may soon recover, but a slip of the tongue you may never get over.
kramer

Answer: The meaning of this aphorism is that a slip of the foot, that is to say, attempting to succeed in some given enterprise and failing in doing so (or in other words, choosing to act but failing, for whatever reason) is not as bad as talking without thinking (a slip of the tongue),
