7/10=0.7

3/4=0.75

7/10 is closest to 3/4 as I showed it above.

2/3=0.67

3/5=0.6

13/20=0.65

All these 3 are not that close to 3/4

Let's start by finding a common denominator for all of these fractions. In this case, we will use 60.
3/4 = 45/60
2/3 = 40/60
3/5 = 36/60
7/10 = 42/60
13/20 = 39/60

The closest to 45/60 is 42/60/ Therefore, 7/10 is the closest to 3/4

Solve 2(a + 7) = 5a - 13
timurjin [86]

Answer:

a = 9

Step-by-step explanation:

2(a + 7) = 5a - 13

We want to bring a to one side, I will choose to bring it to the right

First, expand the bracket by multiplying 2 with a + 7

2a + 14 = 5a - 13

Bring the -13 to the left by adding 13 to both sides

2a + 14 + 13 = 5a - 13 + 13

Simplify

2a + 27 = 5a

Bring the 2a to the right by subtracting 2a from both sides

2a - 2a + 27 = 5a - 2a

Simplify

27 = 5a - 2a

27 = 3a

Bring the 3 to the left by dividing both sides by 3

27÷3 = a

Simplify

a = 9

Felix wrote several equations and determined that only one of the equations has no solution. Which of these equations has no sol
lara [203]

Answer:

3(x-2)+x=4x+6

Step-by-step explanation:

case 1) we have

3(x-2)+x=4x-6

Solve for x

3x-6+x=4x-6

4x-6=4x-6

0=0 ----> is true for any value of x

therefore

The equation has infinite solutions

case 2) we have

3(x-2)+x=2x-6

3x-6+x=2x-6

4x-2x=-6+6

2x=0

x=0

case 3) we have

3(x-2)+x=3x-3

3x-6+x=3x-3

4x-3x=-3+6

x=3

case 4) we have

3(x-2)+x=4x+6

3x-6+x=4x+6

4x-4x=6+6

0=12 ------> is not true

therefore

The equation has no solution
