Hello!

You find the area of all three shapes and add them together

We can do the one on the left first

To find the area we multiply the sides

8 * 7 = 56

The one on the left has an area of 56 ft squared

Now lets do the one on the right

8 * 7 = 56

The one on the left has an area of 56 ft squared as well

Finally lets do the one in the middle

We first have to find the length

8 + 12 = 20

Now we multiply

20 * 20 = 400

The middle one has an area of 400ft squared

Now we add them together

56 + 56 + 400 = 512

The answer is 512ft squared

Hope this helps!

Describe when to use a series and when to use an equation.
anyanavicka [17]

Answer:

An equation is used when we have paired sets of data to describe how the values in one pair change when we alter the values in the other set.

On the other hand, a series gives a general formula of determining the value of the nth observation when the values have been arranged in increasing order

Step-by-step explanation:

An equation such as; y = 3x+5 models the relation between the response variable y and the predictor variable x. It tells us how y changes when x is altered by a certain magnitude. The value 3 is described as the slope while 5 is the y-intercept.

On the other hand, a series such as;  score = 2 + 3n provides a general formula that can be used to determine the score of the nth individual in a sample or population.

Which pair of figures appears to be congruent
inn [45]

Answer:

when they have equal sides and the exact shape and the same angle measures. they have tobe the same size.

Step-by-step explanation:

For example, when you have a square with sides 3 cm, then you compare it with the exact copy of the square. These squares are congruent. Two figures are congruent if and only if they have the exact same shape and the exact same size. If the corresponding sides of two figures with the same shape have the same length, then the two figures are congruent.

Which table represents a linear function
Slav-nsk [51]

Answer:

Option 1

Step-by-step explanation:

Option 1 is the correct answer, because a linear function goes up on the x and y axes by the same amount. In this case, the x-coordinates increase by 1, and the y-coordinates increase by 4.
