Answer:

s < 8

Step-by-step explanation:

7−s/2>3

Subtract 7 from each side

7-7−s/2>3-7

-s/2 > -4

Multiply each side by -2.  Remember to flip the inequality since we are multiplying by a negative.

-s/2 * -2 < -4*-2

s < 8

Select the correct answer.
masha68 [24]

Answer:

Option C

Step-by-step explanation:

We want to know the percentage of women among people who only prefer exercise.

We have the following information:

                Diet Only      Exercise Only   Diet and Exercise

Men                 7                 28                           15

Women          22                   18                           10

Then we get the total of people who prefer just exercise.

28 + 18 = 46

Now the proportion of women who only prefer exercise is calculated as:

w = \frac{18}{46}\\\\w = 0.39

Therefore we must search among the options the table that shows a proportion of 39 for women who prefer only the exercise.

This table is in option C.

C.

                        Diet Only     Exercise Only         Diet and Exercise

Men                    0.24                  0.61                   0.60

Women             0.76                  0.39                   0.40

Sure.  From those choices, the only one that makes sense is that he
didn't perform enough trials.  Technically, you can't expect the experimental
probability to match the theoretical probability until you've rolled it an infinite
number of times.

I have a hunch that even for only 60 trials, such a great discrepancy between
theory and experiment is beginning to suggest that the cubie is loaded.  But
you really can't say.  You just have to keep trying and watch how the numbers
add up.

Two cars leave towns 760 kilometers apart at the same time and travel toward each other. One car's rate is 12 kilometers per hou
zaharov [31]

Answer:

89 km/hr

Step-by-step explanation:

Distance = Rate(speed) × Time

D = R × T

T = 4 hours

One car's rate is 12 kilometers per hour less than the other's.

Hence:

First's car's rate = r × 4 = 4r

Second car's distance = (r + 12) × 4 = 4r + 48

4r + 4r + 48 = 760

8r + 48 = 760

8r = 760 - 48

8r = 712

r = 712/8

r = 89 km/hr

The rate of the slower car is 89 km/hr
