The Veto Power of the President is the ability for the President to veto legislation that is proposed by Congress. The President has the Constitutional right to veto legislation thus not allowing it to pass and forcing Congress to go back and receive a higher level of support or the law will not pass. As Commander in Chief the President has the power to lead the American military and make military decisions. An example of the President's power as Commander in Chief the President ordered and is in charge of the American military operations in Afghanistan and now Iraq and Syria.
