The credibility gap was a lack of trust or disbelief about what the Johnson administration told them about the war. How did doves and hawks differ? Doves were people in favor of the U.S. withdrawing from the Vietnam War while hawks believed the U.S. should continue its military efforts in Vietnam.

What effect did the withdrawal of American troops have on South Vietnam?
sammy [17]

Answer:South Vietnam was overtaken by North Vietnam, and Vietnam became a single communist nation.

Explanation:

The US had been supporting South Vietnam against the communist North Vietnam.  Ultimately, US President Richard Nixon proposed drawing down US involvement in the war and seeking "peace with honor," as he put it.

Once the US forces withdrew (after a long, unsuccessful struggle), it was too late for the South Vietnamese to stave off the victory of the North Vietnamese and Viet Cong forces.  The US withdrew its forces from Vietnam in 1973.  By 1975, Saigon, the capital of South Vietnam, fell to the North Vietnamese communist forces.  South Vietnam unconditionally surrendered to North Vietnam on April 30, 1975.  All of Vietnam became united under communist control.

what group was successful in achieving its goals at the congress of vienna , nationalists conservatists liberals or anarchists?
Whitepunk [10]
The Congress of Vienna was held in order for the powers of Europe to settle territories and boundaries after the fall of Napoleon's Empire in the early 1800's. The conservatives such as Austria and Prussia were quite dominant during the Congress. Their goal was to set some sort of legitimacy in the system that rules Europe, and to balance out power in the continent. France was quite vulnerable and unstable due to its background. However, instability of government was also the case for other European countries. The reason why the conservatives had their goals, is because the liberalism incited by the French Revolution has been consistent with manifesting that it has failed to keep a government's stability. Therefore, it was actually the conservatives who were successful during the Congress, as they were able to achieve their goal of keeping Europe peaceful for about a century.
