D. Eerie, the excerpt doesn't show any conflict that needs to be accepted it is only the introduction. B is crossed out. Doesn't explain any feeling the  characters felt, so cross out C. I would've put A. courages because he sailed on but that is later on with the poem. It is only describes the beginning not asking the whole
