Answer:

The correct answer is option A.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the original price of the winter jacket be = x

Mark down percentage = 75% or 0.75

Current price of the jacket = $52.50

We can solve this as :

x-0.75x=52.50

0.25x=52.50

x=210

Therefore, the original price of the winter jacket was $210.

Do,k = (2, 4) ( 8, 16) the dilation is an expansion. true false
julia-pushkina [17]
A dilation is a transformation that changes the size of a figure.
If the scale factor is k = 4:
( 2 , 4 ) → ( 2 · 4,  4 · 4 ) = ( 8, 16 )
The dilatation is an expansion when | k | > 1    ( 4 > 1 )
Answer: true.

Need help understanding what to do
Juliette [100K]
I believe you are expected to simplify. To do this all you do is group like terms (x, x², x³ etc.) and then simplify the coefficients.

13. 10z + 7z - 19z² - 5z² - 17z

first you can rearrange and group like terms (remember the bring the sign in front of each term with it). I would do it like this:
-19z² - 5z² +10z + 7z - 17z

Now simplify the coefficients:

-24z² + 0z

you can omit the 0z and your simplified answer is

-24z²

Main thing to remember here is that z and z² cannot be simplified together, nor can any variable that has an exponent because the exponent makes them differ.

PLEASE HELP :) I will give all points
yan [13]

answer choice a

x^2 - 5x - 1 = 0

a=1, b=-5, and c=-1

next you plug in the numbers into the quadratic formula

-(-5) plus or minus the square root of (-5)^2 - 4(1)(-1)/ 2(1)

after you simply, you should get 5 plus or minus the square root of 29, which is answer choice a
