4÷1/3 Therefore it would be 4×3/1 this is because u reciprocate which basically means switching the denominator and numerator We do this because when we change the symbols in order to find the answer the denominator and numerator swap or switch places. 4×3/1 =12

I need help ASAP!! Please explain how to do solve the problem.
olga55 [171]

Answer:

3

Step-by-step explanation:

The co-ordinates of the smaller and larger triangles are 4,5 3,2 & 6,3 and 12,15 9,6 18,9

To find out dilation factor,

Co-ordinates of smaller triangles* dilation factor=co-ordinates of

larger triangles(or use (kx,ky) where k is the dilation factor and x and y are the co-ordinates)

(4,5) (3,2) (6,3)k=(12,15) (9,6) (18,9)

Equate and solve,

k=(12,15) (9,6) (18,9)/(4,5) (3,2) (6,3)[Informal]

k=3

The complete question in the attached figure

we know that
[circumference]=2*pi*r
for r=10 in
[circumference]=2*pi*10-----> 62.8 in

if 360° (full circle) has a length of --------> 62.8 in

 54°------------------------------> X
x=54*62.8/360-----> x=9.42 in

viva [34]

Answer: 9 months

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

Weight of the person is 206 lb

If he looses 2 lb per month, his weight after x months becomes 188 lb

Net Reduction in weight is 206-188=18\ lb

for 18 lb , time period is

\Rightarrow x=\dfrac{18}{2}\\\\\Rightarrow x=9\ \text{months}

Answer:

\sqrt{x^2+y^2}-x

Step-by-step explanation:

\textsf{Mulitply by}\quad\dfrac{\sqrt{x^2+y^2}-x}{\sqrt{x^2+y^2}-x}:

\implies \dfrac{y^2}{\sqrt{x^2+y^2}+x} \times \dfrac{\sqrt{x^2+y^2}-x}{\sqrt{x^2+y^2}-x}

\implies \dfrac{y^2(\sqrt{x^2+y^2}-x)}{(\sqrt{x^2+y^2}+x)(\sqrt{x^2+y^2}-x)}

\implies \dfrac{y^2(\sqrt{x^2+y^2}-x)}{(\sqrt{x^2+y^2})^2-x^2}

\implies \dfrac{y^2(\sqrt{x^2+y^2}-x)}{x^2+y^2-x^2}

\implies \dfrac{y^2(\sqrt{x^2+y^2}-x)}{y^2}

\textsf{Cancel the common factor}\:y^2:

\implies \sqrt{x^2+y^2}-x
