patriot [66]

Answer:

In the opening sentence of the story the author states that "you were always a gambler" and you, "took chances." This shows that the main character is willing and able to take any and all risks necessary in order to escape slavery. This sets the tone for the type of person that the main character strives to be. The text foreshadows more to describe the main character being on a wooden ship.

kkurt [141]

The poem 'Interflora' is a love sonnet. Words and phrases that indicate that it is indeed a love sonnet are;

  • Beloved
  • But if, my love,
  • Find herewith as proof of my esteem
  • A customized, fresh, virtual bouquet.

A sonnet is a poem made up of 14 lines whose theme is most times centered on love.

The poem, 'Interflora' is a love sonnet and this is indicated in the words of endearment used by the poet in these lines.

His reference to his recipient as his beloved and his love shows that this was someone he had a romantic attachment to.

Hamlet Act IV help!
Harrizon [31]
Claudius gives Laertes two reasons why he didn't punish Hamlet yet - he says he loves his mother and that the public loves him. So I guess your answers would be Gertrude loves Hamlet and the King does not want to hurt her and the Danes like Hamlet.
These two options are definitely correct, but if you need another one, then maybe also choose The Danes may not believe Claudius too (however, I am unsure about this one because in the text he only states two reasons).
