This is an example of EPISODIC MEMORY.
Human memory is divided into three basic classes, which are sensory, short term and long term memory. Long time memory is divided into implicit and explicit memory. The explicit memory has one sub type of memory, which is declarative memory. Declarative memory is divided into two classes, they are episodic and semantic memory.
Episodic memory refers to memory of experiences and specific events in time, from which one can recall the actual event that took place at any given point in time. Episodic memory is a type of memory that usually concerned autobiographical events, such as wedding ceremony, graduation, etc.

Which of the following groups was NOT one of Southern Africa’s early settlers?
makvit [3.9K]
he history of South Africa is characterized by racial and political violence, territorial conflict, wars of conquest, and inter-ethnic rivalry. The aboriginal Khoi and San lived in the region for millennia. Most of the rest of the population trace their history to later immigration. Africans (also referred to as Bantu) in South Africa are descendants of migrants from central Africa, who first entered southern Africa about 2000 years ago. White South Africans are descendants of later European settlers, mainly from the Netherlands, Germany, France and Britain. The large population of Coloureds, as they were officially classified, are descended at least in part from all of these groups, as well as from slaves imported from Madagascar, East Africa and the then Dutch East Indies. The discoveries of diamonds and gold in the 19th Century had a profound effect on the fortunes of the region, propelling it onto the world stage and introducing a shift away from an exclusively agrarian-based economy towards industrialization and the development of urban infrastructure. The discoveries also led to new conflicts including open warfare between the Boer settlers and imperial Britain. South Africa was under an official system of racial segregation and white minority rule from 1948 known as Apartheid, until its first egalitarian elections on 27 April 1994, when the African National Congress came to power and dominated the politics of the country in alliance with the South African Communist Party and the Congress of South African Trade Unions.

Ashley is riding on an elevator when the lights suddenly go off and the elevator stops, trapping her inside. After an hour elect
Svetradugi [14.3K]

Answer:

c. classical conditioning

Explanation:

In psychology, the term classical conditioning refers to a form of learning in which a stimulus is paired with another one to create a learned behavior.

The first stimulus creates a natural response by itself and it's called the unconditioned stimulus that creates an unconditioned response. However, this stimulus is paired to another one (conditioned stimulus) and the same response that appeared naturally at first starts appearing when the new stimulus appears (conditioned response).

In this example, Ashley is on an elevator and she gets trapped inside, this situation obviously creates a response of fear on her (unconditioned response). However, now Ashley refuses to ride on any elevator because she is afraid. We can see that this response has become a conditioned response in the presence of any elevators and therefore this is an example of classical conditioning learning.
