$g(x) = \dfrac{ (3x + 2)(x + 1)}{ (x + 3)(x + 1)}$

$g(x) = \dfrac{3x + 2}{x + 3}$

when g(x) = 0,

$\dfrac{3x + 2}{x + 3} = 0$

$3x + 2 = 0$

$3x = -2$

$x = -\dfrac{3}{2}$
