The author expresses how younger generations looked up to their parents, teachers, governors, etc. Despite that, as the young ones grow up they realize the old generation way caused a lot of pain, death and war between socities. Thus, now the young generations want to quit the ways of their parents but because of this they are called cowards or revolutionary. In the end, the author points out that it is not about cowardy or betrayal, the younger generations feel alone because they can't follow the olders' path, it's up to them to walk in a different direction or to keep getting the same results of pain and death as before.

The main point is the disappointment of the younger generations after realizing that the teachings of the older generations were wrong. The values they  held dear were false. Stark reality depicted a totally different world from the one their elders had glorified. In the aftermath, there was nothing left but loneliness.

What is the main way a representative democracy differs from a direct democracy?
Marizza181 [45]

Answer:

Citizens elect leaders who vote on the issues in a representative democracy, and citizens vote on the issues in a direct democracy.

Explanation:

This is true, while the rest are false. Representative democracy was designed for large groups, not small, and direct democracies are designed for small, not large groups. The last option is wrong because the reason citizens elect their representative is so they can represent their desires and needs. And as for the 2nd option that representative democracy is modern and direct democracy is ancient, that just isn't a valid reason.

How did the French revolution affect the rest of europe?
fomenos
The long term effects were quite startling and have nothing to do with democracy . That progression was in the place anyway. The founding of the USA had placed it firmly on the real agenda. The French Revolution was a turning point in French and even to world history. It was the first time a population revolted against the monarchy and stablished a republic .
