What are two ways that the british abused their power?

Hello!

There were several ways that the British abused their power, here are just two! One of them is over taxation of items. Which means making items more expensive tax-wise which caused a lot of troubles within the UK. Secondly, absurd laws. The British had so much power that they were making laws left and right that were downright absurd and had no value to the UK at all, in fact, it ruined it if you will.

I hope this helped!

One way, is that there was "Taxation without Representation"- Britain rose high taxes and tax on imported good to goods like molasses, paper, sugar, and tea. There was no representation from the British parliament, and that is one reason of how British abused their power.

The second way, is that there was unlimited search. What I mean by that, is "The Writs of Assistance" gave officers to search through anyone's building out house without their consent (permission). They can basically steal whatever they want. And this extremely abused the policy.

I hope this helps!
