Answer: D. Cognitive Arousal Theory.

The cognitive-arousal theory is a theory that describes how human emotions are created. It states that arousal, and the cognitive awareness of that arousal, mediate our emotions. This means that when aroused, the emotion is dependent both on the arousal, and on our interpretation of it. According to this theory, when arousal is interpreted in a certain way, it can intensify emotional responses. However, arousal itself, or lack thereof, is not a direct indicator of emotional state.

Answer:

The correct option is C

Explanation:

The capital was well positioned near active trade routes connecting east and west. The Byzantine economy was among the most robust economies in the Mediterranean for many centuries. Constantinople was a prime hub in a trading network that at various times extended across nearly all of Eurasia and North Africa. The state strictly controlled both the internal and the international trade, and retained the monopoly of issuing coinage.
