Answer: A college is assumed to be like an organization with multiple classes and other center of learning (library, auditorium, laboratories, and recreational centers) just like an organization has multiple departments. There has to be proper scheduling of activities such that every function performs their activities which may or may not be dependent on other functional responsibilities. There is a great need to cohesively manage the time scheduling between the classes and other curricular activity centers in an academic center or college. The idea is to offer maximum benefits to the students who have to distribute their time between classes such that they do not stray idle due to long gaps or distances between consecutive class schedules, nor they do not find the much needed balancing break between the two different activities. Hence, the biggest problem in most of the colleges is time management. Even though the time table is set, most of the time the teachers do not follow it strictly and conduct the classes as per their convenience. Not all the colleges in all the universities allow only one class at a time to attend for students and hence it becomes very difficult for students to give attention to each and every class. This surely forces students to devote lesser time to assignments and midterm exam preparation. The project works, internship, inter college competitions etc. requires lots of time to excel in it. The problem with the current college matrix environment is allocating the proper amount of time to each course, focusing attention from open course to another does not maximize efficient use of time or performance because you are constantly realigning where you left off. focusing on one course in dedicated amount of time would make things less complicated, if 4 courses are taken 8weeks in length then 1 course in a two-week block would make sense as well. Splitting your time is difficult but achievable. .
