How did the Dutch try to attract settlers to the New Netherland colony?
Luba_88 [7]
They offered a tract of land to any free man who would farm it since they are both have cultural and ethnic diversity. The Dutch also offer a trade and a land expansion. Like the French in the north, the Dutch focused their interest on the fur trade. To that end, they cultivated contingent relations with the Five Nations of the Iroquois to procure greater access to key central regions from which the skins came.

8. What is Hamlet's attitude towards women? *
Sphinxa [80]

Answer:

A He doesn't trust them

Explanation:

Hamlet has a distrust towards women, as well as certain prejudices. He states “Frailty, thy name is women!” which is connected to low morals and weakness.

His distrust quite likely comes from the fact that he learns he can’t trust his mother, the woman who is closest to him in his life. This comes from the fact she has played a role in his father’s murder. He starts feeling dislike towards her, but also towards all the women.

We can see that in his treatment of Ophelia – while he claims his love to her, he also says very harsh words to her later on. He says she presents herself as two-faced, doesn't believe she really is pure, and dismisses her.

Hamlet also states he “will have no more marriages”, underlying he is done with his connection to all women, which also reflects his lack of faith and wariness in females.
