<span>The equation for calculating

</span>P = 2L + 2W

<span>instead of letters L and enter the values given numbers

</span>L = 2  \frac{1}{2}
<span>
</span>W = 3  \frac{2}{5}

1 way
<span>
</span>P = 2 * 2 \frac{1}{2}  + 2 * 3  \frac{2}{5}  \\  \\ P =  \frac{2}{1} *  \frac{5}{2}  +  \frac{2}{1}  *  \frac{17}{5}  \\  \\ P = 1 * 5 +  \frac{34}{5}   \\  \\ P = 5 + 6  \frac{4}{5}  = 11 \frac{4}{5}
<span>
2 way

</span>P = 2L + 2W = 2 * (L + W) = 2 * (2 \frac{1}{2}  + 3  \frac{2}{5}  ) = 2 * ( 2 \frac{5}{10}  + 3  \frac{4}{10} ) = 2 * 5 \frac{9}{10}  =  \frac{2}{1}  *  \frac{59}{10}  = 1 *  \frac{59}{5}  = 11 \frac{4}{5}<span>

Strawberries cost $2 per pound. Kate buys 5 pounds and gets 20% discount on the total cost. How much does Kate pay for the straw
Tema [17]

The total cost without the discount is given by:

C = (2) * (5)\\C = 10$

Then, to find the discounted amount, we make the following rule of three:

10 $ ------------------> 100%

x ----------------------> 20%

From here, we clear the value of x.

We have then:

x = (\frac{20}{100}) * (10)\\x = 2

Then, the cost of the Strawberries with the discount is:

10 - 2 = 8 $

Answer:

Kate pays for the strawberries about $ 8.

HELP PLEASE! I will rate 5 stars and give brainliest!!!

Answer:

see explanation

Step-by-step explanation:

The n th term ( explicit formula ) of an arithmetic sequence is

a_{n} = a₁ + (n - 1)d

where a₁ is the first term and d the common difference

Given a₁₂ = - 95 and a₃₇ = - 270 , then

a₁ + 11d = - 95 → (1)

a₁ + 36d = - 270 → (2)

Subtract (1) from (2) term by term to eliminate a₁

25d = - 175 ( divide both sides by 25 )

d = - 7

Substitute d = - 7 into (1) and solve for a₁

a₁ + 11(- 7) = - 95

a₁ - 77 = - 95 ( add 77 to both sides )

a₁ = - 18 , thus

a_{n} = - 18 - 7(n - 1) = - 18 - 7n + 7 = - 7n - 11

a_{n} = - 7n - 11 ← explicit formula

--------------------------------------------------------------

The recursive formula allows a term in the sequence to be found by adding the common difference d to the previous term, thus

a_{n} = a_{n-1} - 7 with a₁ = - 18 ← recursive formula
