The picture in the attached figure

we know that
area of a sector=(∅*pi/360°)*r²--------> when ∅ is in degree

in this problem
∅=120°
r=4 units
so
area of a sector=(120°*pi/360°)*4²-------> (120°/360°)*(16*pi) units²

The expressions to find the area of the shaded sector is
(120°/360°)*(16*pi) units²

(1/3)*(16*pi)----> (16/3)*pi units²

the area of the shaded sector is (16/3)*pi units²

Two ice skaters started on opposite ends of a 200-foot-long rink and then skated toward each
SSSSS [86.1K]

Answer:

The proportion that can be used to find x is;

(200-x)/x = 7/6

Step-by-step explanation:

Now, we want to find the proportion which can be used to find x.

From the question, we are told that the father skater traveled 7 ft for every 6 ft of the slower skater;

this means that the ratio of their speed is 7:6

Now, when they passed each other , the slower skater has traveled x ft, what this means is that the faster skater will have traveled a distance of (200-x) ft at that moment they passed each other.

Mathematically, since their time is equal i.e the time they used to pass each other, then, the ratio of their distances is same as the ratio of their speeds;

Hence;

(200-x)/x = 7/6 or x/(200-x) = 6/7

Please help
iren2701 [21]
For question 1:
1% = 120 ÷ 100 = 1.2
15% = 1.2 × 15 = 18
So, 15% of 120 is 18

For question 2:
68.4 ÷ 72 = 0.95
0.95 × 100 = 95%
So, the percentage is 95%

For question 3,
1% = 12.5 ÷ 8 = 1.5625
100% = 1.5625 × 100 = 156.25
So, 8% of 12.5 is 156.25.

For question 4,
1% = 48 ÷ 40 = 1.2
100% = 1.2 × 100 = 120
So, 40% of 48 is 120.

For question 5,
1% = 195 ÷ 100 = 1.95
62.5% = 1.95 × 62.5 = 121.875
So, 62.5% of 195 is 121.875
