Answer:

One overarching topic found in Frankenstein is d. The natural world versus the manipulations of science.

Explanation:

"Frankenstein" is a famous novel by author Mary Shelley. Frankenstein is the name of the doctor who chooses to defy death. He gathers body parts from corpses and forms a living creature from them. The monster he creates is not accepted by society. The fact that it is unnatural prevents people from accepting it as a human being, even though it is capable of feeling and thinking. The creature eventually chooses to despise humanity.

As we can see, there is a conflict between the natural world and the manipulations of science in the novel. Even though science may provide us with useful advancements, it can never take the place of Nature. Frankenstein cannot play God without dire consequences - even his loved ones end up killed by the creature. If he had taken all the possible consequences into consideration before doing his experiment, he might have never chosen to do it.

Digiron [165]

The correct statement is option B) “some words that are usually nouns can function as adjectives”. Sometimes nouns can function as adjectives depending on their placement within the sentence

Option A is incorrect since adjectives cannot modify adverbs.

Option C is also incorrect since an adjective only modifies nouns

Option D is also incorrect since adverbs do not modify nouns. Adverbs modify an adjective, a verb, a clause, and another adverb.

The poem "Black snake" uses figuretive language to create meaning. Discribe how similies and metaphors create meaning in the poe
Strike441 [17]
Metaphors are used to represent the appearence of the snake. They create the meaning of a rough skinned, black and ribbed snake. The snake is similar to the appearence of a rounded tire. This gives the reader an imagination of what the snake looks like. Similes are also used in this poem to give a clear picture of the position of the snake. It appears the black snake looks very light and limp.
