What was one outcome of the georgia legislature’s refusal to seat henry mcneal turner?
Yuki888 [10]

Henry McNeal Turner's reluctance to take a seat in the Georgia legislature had only one outcome: It conveyed a message that, despite their right to vote, African Americans were not allowed to occupy the elected office. As a result, choice C is the right response.

In 1868, Turner was chosen to be a representative in the Georgia state legislature. 24 parliamentarians, including him, were soon expelled for the "crime" of being Black. Turner was the first African-American chaplain in the United States Colored Troops during the American Civil War after being chosen by the US Army in 1863.

After the war, he was appointed to Georgia's Freedmen's Bureau. He moved to Macon during the Reconstruction era, and in 1868 he was appointed to the state legislature.

He started two journals, The Voice of Missions (1893–1900) and the Voice of the People, to promote immigration (1901–1904). Between 1895 and 1896, Turner organized two ship trips that carried over 500 people to Liberia.

Complete question:

What was one outcome of the Georgia legislature's refusal to seat Henry McNeal Turner?

A. It showed that the Democratic Party did not fear federal intervention in the state's affairs.

B. It symbolized the Republican Party's reluctance to work with the Freedmen's Bureau.

C. It sent a message that while African Americans could vote, they could not serve in political office.

D. It caused many African Americans to shift their support from the Republican Party to the Democratic Party

What were three goals of creating and hosting the Worlds Fair in Seattle?
tatuchka [14]

Answer:

The major theme of the fair was to show that the United States was leading  the realms of science and space. The US Government  was really interested in demonstrating the nation's scientific prowess to the world, and so committed over $9 million to the fair, chiefly to build the NASA-themed United States Science Exhibit .

Another theme is to bring order to exposition scheduling and to make clear the rights and responsibilities of the host city and participants.Approximately 10 million people attended this fair and The Century Twenty One made a profit as well.

Hope this helps :D
