Y = x² - 5x + 2
y = -6x + 4

-6x + 4 = x² - 5x + 2
0 = x² - 5x + 2 + 6x - 4
0 = x² + x - 2

(x + 2)(x - 1)

x = -2 ; x = 1

y = x² - 5x + 2 ; x = -2                  y = x² - 5x + 2 ; x = 1
y = (-2)² - 5(-2) + 2                      y = 1² - 5(1) + 2
y = 4 + 10 + 2                              y = 1 - 5 + 2
y = 16                                          y = -2

y = -6x + 4 ; x = -2                       y = -6x + 4 ; x = 1
y = -6(-2) + 4                               y = -6(1) + 4
y = 12 + 4                                    y = -6 + 4
y = 16                                          y = -2

Choice C. <span>(-2, 16) and (1, -2) is the answer.</span>

The correct answer for the question that is being presented above is this one: "d. no solutions." The solutions to the system is this:d. no solutions
y = x^2 - 5x +2 (2,8)
y = 4 - 10 + 2
y = 8

<span>y = x^2 - 5x +2 (-1,2)
</span>y = 1 + 10 + 2
y = 13

<span>y = -6x +4 </span>(2,8)
y = -6(2) + 4
y = 8

y = -6x +4 <span>(-1,2)
</span>y = -6(-1) + 4
y = 2

Which of the following is a solution to this inequality? y greater than three fifths times x minus 2 (5, 0) (0, −2) (1, 1) (−5,
storchak [24]

Answer:

(1,1)

Step-by-step explanation:

we have

y > \frac{3}{5}x-2

we know that

If a ordered pair is a solution of the inequality, then the ordered pair must  satisfy the inequality

<u><em>Verify each ordered pair</em></u>

case A) we have

(5,0)

Substitute the value of x and y in the inequality

0 > \frac{3}{5}(5)-2

0 > 1 ----> is not true

therefore

The ordered pair is not solution to the inequality

case B) we have

(0,-2)

Substitute the value of x and y in the inequality

-2 > \frac{3}{5}(0)-2

-2 > -2 ----> is not true

therefore

The ordered pair is not solution to the inequality

case C) we have

(1,1)

Substitute the value of x and y in the inequality

1 > \frac{3}{5}(1)-2

1 > -\frac{7}{5} ----> is true

therefore

The ordered pair is a solution to the inequality

case D) we have

(-5,-6)

Substitute the value of x and y in the inequality

-6 > \frac{3}{5}(-5)-2

-6 > -5 ----> is not true

therefore

The ordered pair is not solution to the inequality

If f(x)=x+8 and g(x)=-4x-3, find (f+g)(x)
alina1380 [7]

Answer:

C. (f + g) (x) = - 3x + 5

Step-by-step explanation:

(f + g) (x) = x + 8 + ( - 4x - 3 )

= x - 4x + 8 - 3

= - 3x + 5

Please help me with 6-8 (step by step please)
NISA [10]
6. Supplementary means when added together they equal 180 or a straight line.
So ∠A+∠B=180
6X+8+10x-20=180
16x-12=180
16X=192
X=12.
∠A=6(12)+8
∠A=72+8=80←
∠B=10(12)-20
∠B=120-20=100←

7. If j is between H and K then HJ+JK=HK
(8x-3)+(12x-5)=112
20X-8=112
20x=120
X=6←
Line HJ=8(6)-3
Line HJ=42-3=39←
Line JK=12(6)-5
Line JK=72-5=67←

8. Vertical angles are the "no adjacent angles" that are formed when two lines intersect, like ∠LSO and the one directly across from it (can't see those letters) or the angles on the top with S in it and directly under it.
