Emperor Justinian’s legacy to modern Europe is a legal code that organized Roman laws. Known as the Justinian Code, it brought together existing laws and codes in one place and as such codified the law making the justice process easier and fair

State Representation is based off the population of the state, since slaves weren't technically citizens, they were not counted in deciding how many representatives a state had. Slaves were a large majority of the population in the south. The south thought they were under represented and wanted slaves to be counted so representation was fair in their eyes.
The exact date is unknown but between 550 bc and 539 bc.
It ended with the exchange of ratifications of the Treaty of Ghent. In 1812, with President Madison in office, Congress declared war against the British. The war began with an attack on Canada, both as an effort to gain land and to cut off British supply lines to Tecumseh's Indian confederation, which had long troubled the US.
