Answer:  The correct option is (D) y=7x.

Step-by-step explanation:  We are given to select the correct equation that is true for all x and y in the following table :

x      1       2        3       4

y     7      14       21     28

From the above table of values of x and y, we note the following :

(1,7)~~~~\Rightarrow 7=7\times 1,\\\\(2,14)~~~\Rightarrow 14=7\times2,\\\\(3,21)~~~~\Rightarrow 21=7\times3,\\\\(4,28)~~~~\Rightarrow 28=7\times4.

Therefore, we can conclude the following equation :

y=7\times x\\\\\Rightarrow y=7x.

Thus, the correct option is (D).

Find the 2nd term in the expansion of (a + b)^7 in simplest form
klasskru [66]

Answer:

7a^6b

Step-by-step explanation:

Using the pascal triangle to do this binomial expansion, we find out that the coefficient is 7. The a variables start at the power to which you are expanding and reduce by 1 for every consecutive term. The b variables start at the power of 0 and increase by 1 for every consecutive term. Using this information, we find out that the second term in the binomial expansion (a+b)^7 is 7a^6b

Note that the power of b in the second term is b^1 which is the same as b

Is it wise for a firm to employ a worker at $20 per hour when another worker does the same job for $10 per hour?
vekshin1
<span>For me,

It would be a rational decision if the first worker was more than twice as productive as the second worker.</span>

This can happen in real life, for example 2 workers are hired to do the same type of job but one worker graduated with honors, the company can give a higher pay to the worker with honors compared with the other one who graduated.

It is up to the company on how much they would pay their workers as long as it is above the minimum wage. Though there might be hurt feelings among the workers if they each knew how much they are paid for, it is also better for the company to inform workers that they are paid this certain amount because of the following reasons (graduated w/ honors).

stiks02 [169]

Answer: R(t) = 10 + 0.50t

Step-by-step explanation:

From the question, we've been informed that Joseph's hourly rate is $10 and that for every year he works at the grocery store, his hourly rate increases by $0.50.

Therefore, the function will be

R(t) = 10 + 0.50t
