For example, in the odd number data set, 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 median value is 5. In the even number data set, 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 it is calculated as $5+\frac{6}{2}$, which is 5.5

Mode refers to commonly occurring data value in the given data set. For example, in the given data set, 5, 4, 5, 7, 5, 9, 4, 5, 6, 5 frequently occurring number is 5.
