1.  Working conditions were very bad. Workers faced very long hours, poor working conditions, and no stability of employment.  Children were sent to work as soon as they could use their hands and feet, with no opportunity for education.  If they were injured at work, they were sacked because they could no longer work.

2. One problem London workers had to contend with was long and irregular hours. The Factory Act, introduced in 1833, attempted to regulate hours, and make it harder for employers to make workers work excessive hours.

Answer:

In a nutshell, the working conditions were dreadful during the Industrial Revolution. As factories were being built, businesses were in need of workers. With a long line of people disposed to work, employers could set wages as low as they wanted because people were willing to work to be paid something. Children suffered the same cruel labor conditions.

One of the reformers that I would like to name is Robert Owen because he put into practice what he said. To test the viability of his proposition for self-sufficient working communities, Owen began experiments in communal living in America in 1825. Among the most famous of these was the one established at New Harmony, Indiana. Of the 130 known communitarian experiments in America before the American Civil War, at least sixteen were Owenite or Owenite-derived communities. New Harmony was Owen's first and most ambitious experiment.

If they both vote for the bill to become a law, the bill is sent to the President of the United States. He or she can choose whether or not to sign the bill. If the President signs the bill, it becomes a law.
