Franck's answer is better (using ~), but I just wanted to point out that the conditional in yours is slightly redundant. It's easy to forget that, since you already have a boolean value, you don't need to perform a comparison in your conditional. So you could have just done this...

if x x = false; else x = true; end

PRETTY PLEASE HELP ME! this is 4 a test and i’m rlly struggling :/
igor_vitrenko [27]
Alright here we go
First we need to find the upper angle by doing 180 - 143 = 37. Because it’s a straight line.
Second we need to find angle ADC
a triangle has 180 degrees, and we have 38 and 37.
180 - (38+37) = 105
then we find what the question wants:
180 - 105 = 75 degrees

Find the value of y so that WX is perpendicular to YZ
Alexxandr [17]

step 1

Find out the slope WX

W(2,-3) and X(-4,9)

m=(9+3)/(-4-2)

m=12/-6

m=-2

step 2

Find out the slope YZ

Y(5,y) and Z(-1,1)

m=(1-y)/(-1-5)

m=(1-y)/-6

m=(y-1)/6

step 3

Remember that

If two lines are perpendicular

then

their slopes are negative reciprocal

that means

(y-1)/6=1/2 -----> because the negative reciprocal of -2 is 1/2

solve for y

2y-2=6

2y=6+2

2y=8

y=4
