How did plate tectonics affect the evolution of dominant animal life in the mesozoic era?

Biology

As the vast Pangea continent broke apart due to tectonic movements, the movement of animals was restricted to their continent hence gene flow between populations was reduced. As the tectonic plates moved across latitudes, their climate changed and consequently, the fauna on the continents. This necessitated for speciation of the offspring population from parent population so as to adapt to the new habitats. Some animals were unable to adapt while others such as the reptiles, adapted well.

Explain how genes, alleles, and chromosomes relate to each other
Maurinko [17]
Chromosomes are the building blocks of life. These materials are found in every cell's nucleus and are made from multiple strands of DNA (Deoxyribonucleic Acid). Without chromosomes living organisms will not exist because it is the main recipe for making life. Each human body normally contains forty-six chromosomes, twenty-three of which came from the sperm, while the other half came from the egg during the process of reproduction.

When a DNA is further segregated into parts, segments of these strands are called genes. Genes are responsible for adding multiple protein parts that ultimately make the body’s muscles, organs, bones, and every other process that makes a living thing function.

Genes usually come in pairs. But they tend to appear in different parts of the chromosome. These genes that appear on a particular chromosome are called alleles. Alleles, give a person a dominant trait that he/she inherited from his/her parents. If an allele is dominantly leaning on the gene side of the mother, one could possibly inherit her blood type or even her colorblindness.

These three building blocks found in the smallest part of the cell called nucleus, make one person unique from the rest of the world. The correct balance of these three elements would then give birth to a living and functioning organism.
