Peck corporation, a foreign subsidiary was acquired by a U.S. corporation on January 1, 2020. Determine the exchange rate used t
taurus [48]

Answer:

Land, Equipment, and Inventory will be restated on the closing date i.e. December 31, 2020. The rate of the currency exchange from local to foreign currency for equipment is on the day of purchase which is February 1, 2020.

Explanation:

1-Balance sheet items are restated on the closing date.

2-P & L items are restated on the transaction date.

As the items Land, Equipment and Inventory are all the balance sheet items, thus they will be stated on the closing date i.e. December 31, 2020.

Furthermore, the functional currency is foreign currency. Since the equipment is purchased in the domestic currency it has to be translated into the foreign currency at the rate as on the date of purchase i.e; February 1, 2020.

First year = $2.544

Second year = $3.053

Third year = $3.48

Fourth year = $3.97

Fifth year = $4.53

Sixth year =$5.16

Explanation:

As dividend is the share of earning distributed to the stockholders. The stockholders expects a good return from the company against their interst in the company. Company make a dividend policy and calculates the growth of dividend accordingly.

Dividend Paid = $2.12

Dividend Second year = $2.544 x 120% = $3.053

Dividend of following three years will grow at 14%

Dividend Third year = $3.053 x 114% = $3.48

Dividend Fourth year = $3.48 x 114% = $3.97

Dividend Fifth year = $3.97 x 114% = $4.53

A company has decided that it no longer needs to extensively count and inspect the products it buys from a particular supplier.
agasfer [191]

Answer: False

Explanation:

The VOLUME CONSOLIDATION Stage is where a company attempts to reduce the number of suppliers that it has and consolidates the volume of sales it does through them.

This strategy helps in having a better relationship with suppliers as well as earning a claim on their business which would go a long way in price negotiation.

You are a valuable member of the student store staff. You handle many of the cash box transactions, moving the daily cash betwee
jasenka [17]

Answer:

I can put a call through to the organisers of the trip explaining that I have cash but it's not within reach and that if they reserved the spot for me, they'd get the money as soon as I can access it. Given that I am a valuable member of the student store staff, that reputation should count in times like this.

To borrow money from the cashbox would be a huge ethical risk and can easily be termed mismanagement of funds especially where the store policy does not allow such.

My value in the store lies largely on my integrity and the trust they students have invested in my person.

I'd rather miss the road trip than make a regrettable unethical decision.

Cheers!
