The correct answer is B. A) Mayan, B) Inca, C) Olmec, D) Aztec.

Explanation

The Mayas, Incas, Aztecas, and Olmecs were all pre-Columbian civilizations. The Mayas resided in the current territory of Mesoamerica, including Mexico especially in the Yucatan Peninsula (referenced on the map with the letter A). This culture was known for its architectural legacy at a much deeper level, also for its advances in language and writing, astronomy and science.

On the other hand, the Incas inhabited from the eleventh to the fifteenth century in the western part of South America, from present-day Ecuador to Chile and northern Argentina (referenced on the map with the letter B). They were known for the strength and supremacy of the warrior that led them to constitute a great empire.

In the case of the Olmecs, they lived in the region of the current Mexican states of Veracruz and Tabasco (on the map referenced with the letter C) during the so-called Mesoamerican pre-classic period, about 1,200 to 400 B.C. There are vestiges of Olmec ceremonial centers known as Tres Zapotes, La Venta and San Lorenzo.

Finally, the Aztecs existed throughout the Late Postclassic period (the final stage of development of the natives before the arrival of the Spaniards) in the territory of present-day Mexico, specifically the central states of Mexico (outlined in the map with the letter D) as Queretaro, Mexico, Oaxaca, Puebla among others. In it, three government sites were Mexico-Tenochtitlan, Tlacopan, and Texcoco. So, the correct answer B. A) Mayan, B) Inca, C) Olmec, D) Aztec.

How did Adam Smith revolutionize economics?
meriva
Adam Smith is the guru behind classical economics and his introduction of the 'invisible hand' concept. Basically, no one person is in control of the market and order is generated in the market without anyone intending this. e.g. Firms are in the market to make a profit, but to do this they need to provide goods and services that the market demands. Self-interest feeds the good of society in this way.

His thoughts are still valid in terms of the ways we think about economics, but classical economics can be argued to have died out in some respects. For example, one argument is that in this recession there should be no government intervention as the invisible hand will intervene, i.e. prices will fall due to decreased demand and the fall in prices will get consumers spending again. Keynesian economics, on the other hand would argue that there needs to be government intervention in order to stimulate aggregate demand and this is the approach most governments are taking, eg. Barack Obama's stimulus plan is an example of Keynesian economics.

So to answer your question, Adam Smith is very important to understand how the market functions, but some economists have debated some of his theories, as has always been the case in economics. I hope that answers your question.
