The correct option is B.
Pesticides are usually used on crops in order to eliminate pests which are destroying the crops. Different pesticides have different modes of application. Using pesticides on a farm  has some consequences attached to it, one of these is the unintended contamination of water supplies.
Pesticides are chemicals which are poisonous to both the plants they are used for and other living organisms. When pesticides are washed into water bodies they have negative effects on the organisms living in the aquatic environments.<span />

What would happen to the DNA molecule if the pairing was non-complementary, in other words, the two purines (adenine and guanine
7nadin3 [17]

If the base-pairing in DNA becomes non-complementary such that purine bases can pair with one another and pyrimidine bases can pair with one another, the 1:1 ratio of purine to pyrimidine bases in DNA will no longer hold.

Due to the complementary base-pairing rule, the ratio of purine to pyrimidine bases in DNAs is usually 1:1. This is because Adenine always pairs with Thymine while Guanine always pairs with Cytosine.

Once this base-pairing rule is removed and becomes purine-purine and pyrimidine-pyrimidine pairings, then it becomes unnecessary for the ratio of purine to pyrimidine bases to be 1:1.
