Some autoimmune disorders are thought to be caused by _________, which occurs when an infectious agent is composed of antigens w
EastWind [94]

Answer: adaptive immune response

Explanation:

Autoimmune disorders are caused by different microoorganism and drug which manipulates the immune system in a way that immune system become unable to recognise between self antigen and foreign antigen. In that case immune system treats foreign antigen as self antigen which cause systemic or organ specific damage.

The exact cause of autoimmune disorders is unknown and hence it is  thought that it is caused by adaptive immune response which builds against self antigens and causes damage to the cells.

Hence, some autoimmune disorders are thought to be caused by adaptive immune response.

How is a tendon different from a ligament? A. A tendon joins a bone to a bone; a ligament joins a muscle to a bone. B. A tendon
rusak2 [61]
B is correct. A tendon will join a muscle to a bone, and a ligament joins a bone to another bone. I think of it this way, partly influenced by my biology teacher:

- The achilles tendon, at the back of your foot, clearly joins foot to calf muscle
- The word ligament comes from 'deligare' in Latin, which roughly means to tie           together. A ligament 'ties' two bones together

I hope this helps

Bond [772]

Answer:

Non-engineered/owner-build structures are more vulnerable because they can be poorly built. Without proper knowledge to build the right structure, the structure is more at risk of abnormalities or destruction from hazards such as rain, hail, strong winds, and debris.

Fact if the circulatory or respiratory system were to fail, the other would fail as well, leading to death without medical intervention.  Explain why failure of the circulatory system would cause failure of the respiratory system & Explain why failure of the respiratory system would cause failure of the circulatory system.

Failure of the respiratory system would cause failure of the circulatory system because the respiratory system helps you breath and with you not breathing it would cause the circulatory system to fail because the breathing makes the blood flow through the circulatory system.
