The Babylonian King Nebuchadnezzar (who ruled between 605 and 562 BC) built the Hanging Gardens of Babylon around the city because his wife, <em>Queen Amytis</em>, who was from Media, missed the natural scenery of her country. The Hanging Gardens of Babylon were one of the <em>Seven Wonders of</em> <em>the Ancient World.</em>
