1 Brick = 3.5 in by 7.5 in  = 26.25 sq. in. and costs $0.59
1 Paver = 8.4 in by 8.4 in  = 70.56 sq. in. and costs $1.88

patio's area 70 * 49 = 3430 sq. in.

number of Bricks to complete the Patio :

3430 / 26.25 = 130.67 round up to 131

total cost of bricks:
131 * $0.59 = $77.29

number of Pavers to complete the Patio:

3430  / 70.56 = 48.6 round up to 49

total cost of pavers:

49 * $1.88 = $92.12

 $92.12 - $77.29 = 14.83

  the bricks would cost less by $14.83

find the slope of the line through the points (2,-4) and (3,-4). is the line horizontal, vertical, or neither
Furkat [3]

Answer:

The slope of the line is 0 and the line is horizontal

Step-by-step explanation:

Given coordinates;

                      (2,-4) and (3,-4)

Unknown:

Slope of the line  = ?

Solution:

The slope of a line is the rise divided by the run. Mathematically, it is expressed as;

    Slope  = \frac{y_{2} - y_{1} }{x_{2} - x_{1} }

x₁  = 2

x₂ = 3

y₁ = -4

y₂ = -4

 Insert the parameters and solve;

   Slope  = \frac{-4-(-4)}{3-2}   = 0

The slope of the line is 0 and the line is horizontal

The circumference of a circle is 6π inches. What is the area of the circle?
Alchen [17]
To determine the area of the circle, we need to first calculate the radius of the circle. We can do this from the given circumference. The circumference has a formula of C = 2πr. We do as follows:

C = 2πr
6π = 2πr
r = 3

Therefore, area would be,

A = πr²
A = π(3)² = 9π

Option B is the correct answer.
