Answer: Walking distance is 7\frac{2}{10}\ miles

Step-by-step explanation:

Since we have given that

Walking distance from the Empire State Building in New York City to Times Square = \frac{9}{10}\ mile

According to question, the walking distance from the Empire State Building into Sues Hotel is 8 times as far.

So, Walking distance from the Empire State Building into Sues Hotel is given by

8\times \frac{9}{10}\\\\=\frac{72}{10}\\\\=7\frac{2}{10}\ miles

Hence, Walking distance is 7\frac{2}{10}\ miles

2 pairs of goggles and 3 swimming caps cost $60.30.
a_sh-v [17]

2g + 3s = 60.3
3g + 5s = 95.2
If you look at the first formula we could write it as
g =  \frac{60.3}{2}  -  \frac{3s}{2}
And if you write this instead of the g in the second equation you get
3(\frac{60.3}{2}  -  \frac{3s}{2} ) + 5s = 95.2
\frac{180.9}{2}  -  \frac{9s}{2}  + 5s = 95.2
5s - 4.5s = 95.2 - 90.45
0.5s = 4.75
s =  \frac{4.75}{0.5}
s = 9.5

Swimming cap costs $9.5
