The differences between the North and the South is that the South used slaves to pick cotton for them, the Southern economy was basically based on slave labor. If the South did not use slaves to pick cotton then the economy would crash, because the farmers were to lazy to pick their own cotton. The North did not like slavery, but their economy kind of depended on them too. This is because the cotton the South produced was shipped up North to make into clothes and other things. The North had about 22 million people living there and the South had about 9 million. The North also had more railroad millage, this helping them during the Civil War.

Hope this helped, if it did then please put me as brainliest. Thanks.

Llana [10]
You are most likely referring to the assassinations of Martin Luther King Jr and Malcolm X. The impacts of both of their assassinations was that the Civil Rights movements actually grew stronger, with more African Americans and white Americans coming together to fight for equality on the streets, in Presidential elections, and through activism in Churches. Both MLK and Malcolm X were good men who fought for the rights of African Americans, and they will forever be remembered for their lasting impression on this nation, not only by other African Americans, but by all Americans.
