The equation for a circle is: (x - h)² + (y - k)² = r²
h represents the x-coordinate of the center,
k represents the y-coordinate of the center,
r represents the radius of the circle.

The center is given as (-2, 4) so plug in -2 for h and 4 for k.

Now we need to find the radius.
The distance from the center to any point on the circle is the radius.
Use the distance formula to find the distance between (-2,4) and <span>(-6, 7).
d = \sqrt{ (x_{2} -  x_{1})^{2}  +  (y_{2} -  y_{1})^{2}}
d² = ( x_{2} - x_{1})^{2}  + ( y_{2} -  y_{1})^{2}</span><span>
   = (-2 + 6)² + (4 - 7)²
   = (4)² + (-3)²
   =  16  +  9
   =  25
Plug is 25 for r²

Answer: (x + 2)² + (y - 4)² = 25</span>

Answer/Step-by-step explanation:

Part A:

Key:\left[1 Adult = 4 Student]

Formula: Divide by 4

<u> 12 Student = 3 Adult</u>

<u>24 Student = 6 Adult</u>

<u>40 Student = 10 Adult</u>

Part B:

33 Student

Hence, divide 33 by 4 = 8 with a remainder of 1.

Therefore, 8 Adult and for the remainder 1 student either one Adult takes 5 Student or Needed 9 Adult.

The volume of a rectangular prism is 840 cubic inches. If the area of the base is 60 cubic inches, what is its height?
Ugo [173]

Answer:

the height is 14

Step-by-step explanation:

since the volume in a rect. prism is V = width x height x length, and the width times length is the area of the base, for height we need to do 840/60 to find the height

840/60 = 14
