The opposite of something that looks like, resembles, or stands in for something else is known as ______ ______ ______ . Hint: i
Maksim231197 [3]

The opposite of something that looks like, resembles, or stands in for something else is known as representation.

Explanation:

Representation (arts) is basically when something is utilized as signs which stand at for and get the position of something else. It has been related with two terms aesthetics (art) and semiotics (signs). But this term depicts its meaning and interpretations with huge diversity.

In the theory of Literary, it is commonly defined in three ways: first is to resemble or look like, second is to stand in for someone or something while third and the last is to re-present which means to present a second time.

How do synonyms best help readers to figure out the meanning of unknown words
Scrat [10]
Synonyms help us connect unknown words with known words. For example, one may not know the meaning of the word "nefarious" when used in this context: "The offense was more nefarious than previously thought." If we replace "nefarious" with "evil" or "wretched" the meaning is more comprehensible to those who don't know the meaning of "nefarious": The offense was more evil (wretched) than previously thought."
I hope this helps, I used nefarious as a somewhat uncommon term to better illustrate my point, and to explain why we use synonyms to learn new words. Simply put, synonyms bridge us to the unknown using the known as solid ground build from.
