In the last years of his life, Julius Caesar began to implement a number of reforms. He began to settle military veterans and poor people in the colonies assumed the territory of Rome. Gave numerous groups of the population Roman citizenship. The most important and most famous Caesar's reform was to change the calendar, which with small amendments in force to this day. Many of the intended change Caesar could not enter into force. literature.  Brutus is featured in Dante's La Divina Commedia (The Divine Comedy)

as being equal to Judas Iscariot as a traitor.  William Shakespeare also wrote

a play entitled "Julius Caesar," which is not as well known as "MacBeth" or

"Hamlet" but is still worth reading.
