The French Revolution was a bloody war. The most known part of it was called "The Terror"... You see, it was called like that because because of the Guillotine. Many were killing aristocrats and rich families .Some families were being mistaken for rich and were killed. The French Revolution could be itself described "Terror". ;(
C) The American Civil War started ten years later and the compromises were intended to prevent this.

Sectionalism became very tensed in the late 1940s because of the separation of the North and the South because of the slavery. People in the North were focusing on industrializing, urbanizing, and building factories while the people from the South concentrated in agriculture. The Southerners was claiming that the North's factories weren't treating everyone fairly and lead into a war.
