Randy's talk with Ponyboy shows that even coming from different sides of the track they still face the same issues of needing to fit in, feeling left out amongst their peers, and a feeling that if you don't fit in you won't have anyone to support you when you need them. It also shows that on each side there are good and bad people - Randy is upset at the situation but still wants to know if Johnny is okay. At the end of of the day these are children acting like adults while they try to find their way in the world.

What was the relationship between Doug Vakoch and Philip Lubin
fgiga [73]

Answer: The story is about the different ways scientists use maths. Vakoch said they don't need extra terrestrial to speak English or German so they need to look into mathematics.

He said even in 1820, the astronomers used geometry. One scientist suggested in drawing triangles. Another suggested in making a circle and filling it with kerosene so when lit, it can be seen from space at night.

Then they used the binary system and some codes to send messages. Then they used pictures and started with simple counting.

Read the excerpts from Ovid’s "Pyramus and Thisbe" and Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. "Pyramus and Thisbe"
agasfer [191]

Answer:

a. Both works show a marriage denied; only Shakespeare offers background.

Explanation:

Ovid's " Pyramus and Thisbe" and William Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet" both tells the story of two star crossed lovers who had to have a fatal ending due to their complicated love stories. While both stories seem to have the exact same play and theme and tone, one thing that is evidently missing from the excerpts provided in the question is that while Shakespeare provides the background of the story, telling the history of the families of two characters Romeo and Juliet, Ovid's excerpt ,misses this detail. Both shows a marriage denied, only Shakespeare offers the background for why the union was refused.
