Explanation:

In a liquid, atoms are less strongly held together as compared to solids. Due to this the atoms are able to slide past each other.

But when liquids are cooled at a certain temperature then their atoms come closer to each other. As a result, they are held by strong forces due to which liquid phase changes into solid phase.

For example, water freezes at zero degree celsius.

Thus, we can conclude that a liquid cooled down below a certain temperature becomes a solid as it freezes.

If the force exerted on a sled is 100 N and the mass of the sled is 50 kg, what is the acceleration of the sled?
Anna35 [415]

Answer;

acceleration= 2 m/s²

Explanation;

From the second Newton's Law of motion the resultant force is directly proportional to the rate of change in momentum.

That is;

F = ma

Thus; F = 100 N, m = 50 kg

a = F/m

 = 100/50

 = 2 m/s²
