The Centuries gathered into the Centuriate Assembly for judicial, electoral, and legislative purpose.

The Tribal Assembly , also known as the Assembly of the Roman Republic was a democratic assembly made up of all Roman citizens. During the years of the Roman Republic, citizens were organized on the basis of 35 tribes: 4 urban tribes encompassing citizens inside the city of Rome, while the other 31 rural tribes comprised citizens outside the city. The tribes gathered into the Tribal Assembly for judicial, electoral, and legislative purposes, and decisions were made by majority vote.
