Battle of Trenton was a small scale battle fought in the era of American revolutionary war in the city of Trenton, New Jersey. Washington crossed the Delaware River one night prior to battle and deployed his chief continental army against the Hessian auxiliaries. The end of the battle was marked by the arrest of two-third of the Hessian troops with negligible loss of Washington’s troops. The victory enhanced the morale of the Americans troops and inspired them for re-enlistment.
