1. OB helps managers explain, predict, and influence behavior in the workplace. Identify behaviors that you are most interested

in explaining, predicting, and influencing in the workplace. Discuss why these behaviors are important to you as a manager.
2. We all bring both conscious and unconscious biases into the workplace. While many companies have diversity programs, some managers still lack the necessary skills and training to properly manage diverse teams. As a manager, what steps would you take to ensure that everyone on your team is treated fairly, regardless of race, gender, disability, sexual orientation, etc.?

Answer:

Part 1).

The behavior that I am most involved in amplification, forecasting and persuading in the office is motivation between the team followers and staffs.

One the key persistence of association behavior is to manage staffs efficiently. This means that the employee administration is a large part of OB. In doing that administrations need to employee competent personnel and make sure they are sufficiently motivated. While the motivation can be of diverse types (internal and external), the administration of the motivation is what makes staffs efficient and creative. Thus in order to achieve effectiveness and productivity on association level, I believe it is significant to manage worker motivation efficiently.

There are various representations that can be used for this determination. For example, Maslow’s hierarchy, Herzberg’s’ theory, etc.

Part 2).

One of the significant steps to eliminate biases and preconceptions is to admit their presence and to vigorously avoid them. The staffs should receive discernment and diversity training on a regular basis. In addition to this stages of possible judgement/bias such as signing, raises, task, etc. needs to be totally objective. The valuation of staffs or possible personnel should follow objective procedure and assessment criteria.

This should allow plummeting, if not removing, the bias and judgement in the day to day process of the team and the association.

Gabriele Enterprises has bonds on the market making annual payments, with eight years to maturity, a par value of $1,000, and se
iVinArrow [24]

Answer:

Coupon rate = 5.8%

Explanation:

The price of a bond is the present value (PV) of the future cash flows discounted at its yield.

So we will need to work back to ascertain the coupon rate

Step 1

Calculate the PV of redemption value and PV of interest payments

PV of Redemption

= 1.067^(-5) × 1000

=723.06

PV of the annual interest rate

= price of the bond - PV of redemption

= $964- 723.06

= 240.934

Step 2

Calculate the interest payment

Interest payment = PV of redemption value / annuity factor

Annuity factor =( 1 -(1+r)^(-n) )/r

Annuity factor at 6.7% for 5 years

Factor =( 1-1.067^(-5) )/0.067

          = 4.1333

Interest payment = PV of the annual interest rate / Annuity factor

Interest payment=

=240.93/4.1333

=58.290

Step 3

Calculate the coupon rate

Coupon rate = interest payment/ par value

Coupon rate = (58.290/1000) × 100

= 5.8%

Coupon rate = 5.8%

Formatting is a feature found in a lot of word processing software applications such as Microsoft Word, Notepad, etc., which is designed to avail end users the ability to apply specific formatting options such as cut, bold, italics, underline, etc., to texts based on certain defined criteria.

Basically, it is used for highlighting, emphasize, comparing or differentiating between data (information) stored in a text document.

Therefore, he should use a lot of unique formatting such as italics or underlining in the newsletter to be sent out, so as to get their attention.

Which of the following statements is true? A. In a job-costing system, average production cost is calculated for all units pro
Leviafan [203]

Answer:

C. In a process-costing system, each unit uses approximately the same amount of resources.

Explanation:

Option A is wrong because average production cost cannot be calculated for all units produced in a job-costing system. It is calculated from overhead allocation.

Option B is incorrect because overhead cannot be allocated to all units equally in the job costing method.

Option D is also false because, in a job costing system, individual jobs use different quantities of production resources. On the other hand, the process costing system uses the same amount of resources for each unit. Therefore, option C is correct.
