Which three lines in this excerpt from Edgar Allan Poe's "Annabel Lee" contain alliteration? The angels, not half so happy in He

aven, Went envying her and me— Yes!—that was the reason (as all men know, In this kingdom by the sea) That the wind came out of the cloud by night, Chilling and killing my Annabel Lee . . . For the moon never beams, without bringing me dreams Of the beautiful Annabel Lee; And the stars never rise, but I feel the bright eyes Of the beautiful Annabel Lee; And so, all the night-tide, I lie down by the side Of my darling—my darling—my life and my bride, In her sepulchre there by the sea— In her tomb by the sounding sea.

The three lines that read “The angels, not half so happy in Heaven, Went envying her and me— Yes!—that was the reason (as all men know, In this kingdom by the sea) That the wind came out of the cloud by night, Chilling and killing my Annabel Lee.” contain alliteration. Alliteration is the repetition of the same sounds, usually initial consonants of words or of stressed syllables, in a sequence of neighbouring words. Within the three lines in the excerpt mentioned before, one can identify a sound repeated in a sequence of neighbouring words: “half”, “happy”, and “Heaven”.

The lines that contain alliteration in the excerpt from Edgar Allan Poe"s "Annabel Lee" are:

"The angels, not half so happy in Heaven..."

"..the bright eyes Of the beautiful Annabel..."

"...night-tide, I lay down by the side Of my darling bride,"

Alliteration is the stylistic device where words start with letters that, having the same sound, creates a repetition of the same sound in a sequence, in a sentence.

In the book the giver what does jonas learn about "releasing" while he is volunteering?
matrenka [14]

Answer:Jonas learns that releasing is not what he always thought.

Explanation:

"Releasing" as it is used in the book The Giver by Lois Lowry, is something that the society he lives in does with the elders after they have reached a certain age. The citizens are told that they go somewhere else, but in reality the patients are given a serum which in turn kills them silently.

The correct answers are B and C.

In order to help the reader understand the meaning of different objects in the story and what they represent, the author will have to present this object repeatedly in the story.

This repetition will caugh the reader's attention, making him understand that this object has special meaning to the story.

At the same time, the writer will have to give this object special emphasis. Just mentioning it several times will not be enough for the reader to understand its meaning. The author must give this object its space and elaborate on it so that it can really stand out.
