Here we're interested in the circumference:  C = pi*d.  In this case C = 3.14*(28 inches) = 88 inches.

Now divide this 88 inches into 200 feet to get the # of revolutions ncessary to travel 200 feet.

200 feet     12 in
------------ * --------- = 2400 inches
       1           1 ft

2400 inches
----------------------- = 27.2 revolutions   (answer)
[ 88 inches/ rev ]

In the graph shown below, what is f(2)?
ira [324]

The answer is A. f(2) = 2

We are looking for where the line is expressed when x = 2. A closed dot allows us to know that point is included. An open dot is not included, although the line approaches it, infinitely closely.

The distance around a circular pool is 39.25 m. How does the lifeguard have to walk from the edge of the pool to the centre of t
Marysya12 [62]

Answer:

d = 6.246 m

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that,

The distance around a circular pool is 39.25 m.

We need to find how does the lifeguard have to walk from the edge of the pool to the centre of the pool. It means we need to find the radius r of the circle.

ATQ,

Circumference = 2πr = 39.25 m

r is radius

r=\dfrac{39.25 }{2\pi}\\\\r=6.246\ m

So, the required distance is 6.246 m.
